Obertauern -Winter holidays with guaranteed snow
We are pleased to have aroused your interest. In Obertauern you can enjoy winter holidays with guaranteed snow. Because experience shows that extensive snowfall is expected from the south and the north, Obertauern is the snowiest and most snow-sure area in Austria.
Obertauern starts at an altitude of 1,630 meters and goes up to 2,313 meters. Skiers will find everything a skier's heart desires here: blue, red and black slopes and of course plenty of open terrain for freeriders.
There are 26 cable cars and lifts at the Obertauern ski circuit. For all adrenaline junkies there is the “Gamsleiten 2”, with a 45% gradient, one of the steepest slopes in Europe.
Local mascot “Bobby” welcomes families with special ski experiences for children.
And one thing applies to everyone on a winter holiday: Ski In Ski Out - the car stays in the garage and the slopes are directly accessible from the accommodation.
